web.xml doesn't parse correctly ?

good day, when i start my tomcat, the console show the below error


here is my web.xml :


anyone know what is the problem caused ? thank you for guidance

As stated in another thread, all your <taglib> definitions must go under <jsp-config>.

hi, merrill, i still get the same error even i have change the taglib definition under <jsp-config> , here is my latest web.xml

jsp-config tag has two elements: <taglib> and <jsp-property-group>

taglib comes first then jsp-property-group

thanks, Naseem Khan , i have try on the suggestion for changing tag attribute location , but it prompt me the same error as well

What version of Tomcat ypu are using?

I tried your last posted web.xml and it worked on my Tomcat 5.5.8 servlet/jsp container.

i'm using 5.59 , would it possible cause by conf\web.xml ? i need to check it out again ...

if you change something in tomcat's configuration it's usually a good idea to delete the work directory. tomcat sometimes caches config data there, which can be really really annoying if you are playing with different settings...

i have try delete the work webapp folder , it give same result
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
