The JavaRanch Bunkhouse is a great place to start to find books on such subjects.

Take a look!

Hi!
I have written a book which primary is intended for people preparing for web service certification.
However, this book can be used as an introduction to web services and I use it myself as a reference book.
The book is free and can be downloaded at http://www.slideshare.net/krizsan/scdjws-5-study-notes-3085287
Take a look - if all of it does not suit you, there may be parts that you like and, again, it is free.
Best wishes!
