I want to redesign my website in ajax if i can use struts with ajax then it is very helpful for me.

i'm afraid you are not providing enough information for us being able to answer something meaningfull.

the quick answer will be: yes, you can use AJAX with struts. search for the term in this forum and you'll find out that you are by far not the first who is asking this question.

My problem is that when i make a call to action class(using ajax) then a new page loaded .I want that i receive response in form of text so that using that response i change some part of my page .

If I understand what you are asking, when you call the struts action you are getting forwarded to the next page. If that's the issue then return null.
