I am interested in learning SOA and thus would like to know any good books on SOA.
I searched net and could find books by Thomas Earl. e.g "SOA Principles of Service Design", "Service Oriented Architecture"

I am finding these "SOA Principles of Service Design" very heavy and difficult to understand. The other book is "Service Oriented Architecture" is more about Java Web Services.

I already know Java Web Services quite well and would like to learn SOA.

Can somebody suggest some good beginner book on SOA.

I would recommend: http://www.amazon.com/SOA-Using-Java-Web-Services/dp/0130449687

Thanks for the response. The said book "SOA using web services" is actually a java web services book. I have already read it.
I wanted to learn the SOA concepts which are normally independent of technology.

I want to learn Service identification, Service classification, Service specification concepts.

Could you please suggest me a book for beginners for the same.

It seems that you had "SOA Using Java Web Services". Is it good ?

Thanks,

The mentioned book is for SOA mainly - & not a beginner reference for web services - which is what you are looking for.
You can google for some e-books / pdf as well.
cheers!
