I am trying to go thru the Pro Spring book to learn about the spring framework and DI. If anyone has gone through the book or can see what the problem is, any help/direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In Ch2 I am encountering the following error:

It is saying you do not have a bean defined called "renderer" and since that is the only configuration file being loaded, tells me there is not a bean named render in there.

I would recommend finding a book that covers the latest version of Spring. Use of BeanFactory, while in small cases might be used, typically Spring applications create ApplicationContext objects instead and read in an xml configuration not a .properties file.
