I saw in an application a component, it was just like a separator in Java, but not just a line, a whole rectangle. I was wondering if anybody knows if java has something like that, because otherwise i would have to make the rectangle out of separators, and i need a lot of rectangles.

I guess your talking about graphical-user-interface components. If you need to have empty, square space you could
use empty JPanels (or similar Components) with a border.
