I have a problem in creating a custom JDialog. I need something exactly like JOptionPane, but i want to be able to set the actions of the buttons myself. Does anybody know how to do that with a JDialog? I already created the JDialog window, created the buttons and label, but i can't position them inside the dialog window as i want (i tried a lot of layouts, even null layout), and i also can't set the dimension of the dialog box.

To get better help sooner, post a SSCCE (Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable) example that demonstrates the problem.

Are you aware that JOptionPane can take a Component/Container as the message argument to its static methods?
