Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, or a closely related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• 6+ years experience developing software in a commercial software development environment
• Solid experience with Java and related technologies – mandatory
• Object oriented design experience using UML.
• Experience with modern software development methodologies.
• Good organizational and communication skills – mandatory
• Experience developing software for a highly available, web-based product.
• Project planning experience and familiarity with project planning tools.
• Experience mentoring and leading other developers.
• Experience in the healthcare domain – beneficial
Job Description
• Analyzing product and technology requirements, working closely with product managers.
• Performing object oriented design and analysis on software components and systems
• Developing functional specifications for new development
• Researching and recommending technologies to be used in product development
• Developing deployment scenarios for software and hardware components
• Deploying and
testing products in a highly available configuration
• Communicating with management and team personnel on project status and risks
•Taking up code reviews and guiding team members for better practices
• Leading and mentoring a small team of developers to design and implement products and features
• Project planning (task identification, estimation, dependences, risk analysis) and Team leading responsibilities
