Yesterday I passed the OCEJWCD 6 with 92%.
Here's what i did for the preparation.
I had read HFSJ 2nd edition once a year ago. Then a month ago I finally decided to go for the certification. So read the book once again.
Did the exercise at the end of each chapter. I scored on average 75-80% in those exercises.
For the new objectives of this exam I read the
Servlet 3.0 spec twice. The second time, 3 days just before the exam.
I took all the free mock questions/exams available on the link of this forum including Servlet 3.0 mock questions from Nullhaus blog (it is really good!). I felt pretty good about my preparation until after I gave the mock exam at the end of the HFSJ. I scored mere 60% in that.
But I felt my understanding of topics were good. And I just need to take more full length mock exams, especially which would cover the new objectives of the exam.
So just 2 days before the actual exam I bought EnthuWare (They recently made the latest version for the OCEJWCD 6 available) and took 9 full length tests from there.
Here is my score for the Enthuware mocks.
Test 1: 84%
Test 2: 82%
Test 3: 93%
Test 4: 74%
Test 5: 89%
Test 6: 89%
Test 7: 79%
Test 8: 86%
Test 9: 89%
I think without Enthuware I might have passed the exam. But it really made a difference in boosting the final percentage. And especially since there isn't much study material available for the new objectives (apart from the official spec) I think it is really worth it.
I hope this helps to those who are preparing for the OCEJWCD 6.
