We have used '<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />' but this got worked in IE8 and not in IE9. Can you guys help me on this ?

Spend the time and correct your bad mark up and css!
How about:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7">
