Hey Folks,

i'm working on a project which has a program which contains bars and other graphics. These things are quite complex, but managable. The problem i currently have, is, that sometimes my JFrame contains a grey panel at the bottom. It overlays every other panel, so buttons, that are under this panel, cannot be clicked.
I show you a picture of my program. I resized it so only the JMenuBar can be seen. You can only see the upper part of the words, because the other part is hidden under the grey bar:

Is this a bug of the Sun JDK 1.6 or does the problem lie in my code?

Thank you

I would like to think that there is a bug in java sometimes too, but thats hardly ever the case...
So I think that you have done something wrong in your code.

Much more details are needed...
Is your program multi-threaded? Are you writing correct swing code to handle multi-threading?
you mention graphics...are you Threads on your own as against using the Timer class?
are you changing the UI from other threads? are you using SwingWorker for that?
can you post a SSCCE?
