Anyone recently take the Essay?

I see on the Pearson Website that I can purchase and schedule the essay portion of the test even though I have not
submitted my assignment.... Anyone else go through the process. I remember someone saying recently that they could not
submit until they took the Essay, or was it the otehr way around... So many changes....

There have been a period that you had to submit your assignment, before you were able to schedule your essay exam.

Hi,

I took my exam at the end of last month, I had to submit the assignment on a special screen on the Peasrson site then book the exam. I ordered my assignment voucher of prometric before the change to pearson. The instructions I received from Oracle on submitting the assignment were:

1. Go to www.pearsonvue.com/oracle.
2. Click on Schedule A Test
3. Select "Master Assignments" under "What type of exam are you planning to take?" section
4. Login with your Pearson Vue user name and Password (Create a Pearson VUE web account at pearsonvue.com/oracle if you do not already have one.)
5. Access the assignment online at pearsonvue.com/oracle, using test number 1Z0-844 for the Developer assignment.
6. Using your voucher code to access one of these tests will place you into a special form of the assignment where you can upload your completed work.

You will not be eligible to register for the essay until you have submitted your assignment. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

I contacted Oracle with my original voucher details & they gave me a new voucher to use on the Pearson site

I see the essay exam right on the web site, even before I submitted.... Dont know if I could have actually ogne through with it though.

@Mullan: i have no voucher number. i have paid from pearsonvue web site with my credit number. However pearsonvue techical support team said that they will provide me a vocuher number after i will send them my paid information.

Another issue i have booked exam id 855 but pearson_support says that i am going to select exam code 844 and upload my work. Is this also the case for you?

As I purchased my assignment using Prometric I had to contact Oracle to get them to give me instructions to upload my assignment on the Pearson site which I stated above. I then used the steps stated above to upload my assignement:

anyone has an idea, what happens if we take the essay before submitting our assignment, since tomorrow(27 Agust) is the deadline of oracle, i want to take essay today. But there is a problem in my assignment upload and pearsonvue techinical suport tries to solve it. But I think they can not solve it today.

Can you book the essay? Try and book it, Go and take it, and then see if they can work it out.

I just took the essay portion, I wont list the questions, but some of them seemed like I could answer in 3-4 sentences, I didnt, I extended it to a page+.

Does anyone know if you can book the essay exam before submitting your assignment? And then make sure you submit your assignment before taking the essay exam?

I just went through the process to book the essay. No checks to see if you uploaded the assignment. I stopped at the payment page. So it certainly looks possible.

The only thing I am wondering about now is whether the process to upload the assignment may lead you on to booking and paying for the essay.

The essay exam seems to have risen in price - EUR 287.98!!!
