Difference between OCJP and OCPJP

Hello friends , I am preparing for OCPJP from K&B 6 . Almost prepared all . Now i came to know that serialization has been removed from syllabus and drag and drops too.
I was about to take exam today but did'nt gave because i did'nt wanted to take risk and feeling really depressed. I am afraid if their is'nt more changes in the real exam. Also i prepared for ExamLabs for SCJP-6 . I want to clear exam in my first attempt.
Kindly guide me on this.

Hello Divyya.

I'm not sure Serialization is not on the exam anymore. I can tell you that I did not get a question regarding it but that does not mean It's not in the objectives anymore.
There are nonetheless no more drag and drop questions . I've read that there were reports of malfunctions with those questions when filled in half and marked for review afterwards.
They were empty on return. This ofcourse does not change what you have to learn or know.

If you want my advice; it's better to know too much than too little. Serialization always comes in handy so it's better to learn it.
For the rest, no changes are on the exam.

Hi Divvya..it's always better to know the latest objectives as they been changing quite frequently in last couple of months

Nevertheless, it is always better to know these topics as sooner or later you going to use them.

Now am totally confused Yesterday i asked the wizlab guys on facebook if the drag and drop questions has been removed or not from the new scjp 1.6(now 1z0-851) but he said they are still there So are you 100% sure that drag and drop questions have been removed? Apart from the removed topics are there any other significant changes?

You really need to feel confident about your preparation, before taking the exam. Assess your preparation by comparing the scores in the mock exams that you have taken.
Can you tell how much did you score in K&B master exams and practice exams? They are way too hard as compared to the real exam, so if you didn't score well there don't think that you are not prepared. 70% in these can be mapped to 95%+ in real exam.

There are no drag & drop questions in the exam. They have been removed.
So don't worry about them
