Unable to login as root in Php My admin

Hi,
i have installed wamp server 2.2 package.After insatllation i am not able to login as user root .iam able to login as pma(ie php my admin) but this user has no privileges to create database.And I have not given password to user root still it gives error

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Please help me..

It seems there is NO default for user root because of "using password: NO". If it needs one then it should "using password: YES". Once inside php myadmin you can change it.

Hi,
Go the installation directory from there to phpmyadmin dir then edit config.inc.php for your username and password
