Hi there,

Is there an official book or study material for this cert? I have seen this book http://www.amazon.com/Certified-Developer-Services-310-220-Certification/dp/0072259523, can anyone recommend it?

I've also just downloaded the study guide from Ivan Krizsans site ( thank you) . Would this guide alone be enough or better for studying for this exam?

I'm trying to determine if i can get away with not doing the oracle 1 week training that they offer for this cert.

Many thanks
iva

that book has been "coming soon" for over 2 years now, I suspect the authors have given up by now....

Hi there,

I got my Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer certification 2 months ago and would like to continue with "Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Web Services Developer".
Are there any "new" / good study materials? I've been searching for 2 days already. The books I've found are pretty old.

I know this doesn't belong here, but there are no main categories for it. ->I'm also interested in the "Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Java Persistence API Developer". Any good books/ resources on that one also?

Coming from a .NET background where you can order Self Study books for any certification path. I must say that Java lacks big on this topic! Don't get me wrong I love Java, it's just something I have noticed.

Thanks

Hi!
I don't dare saying that my study guide is enough in itself.
The web services certification spans a very vast range of topics and to capture it all in just 400 pages is difficult.
Thus I recommend consulting additional material, especially the different specification documents for WSDL, SOAP, WS-I Basic Profile etc etc.
Best wishes!
