JInternalFrame design question

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,

I need to build a JInternalFrame with a MenuBar, ToolBar, Split Pane and a Tabbed Pane at the bottom. Should i go for GroupLayout or GridBag layout. I knew a bit of GroupLayout when i previously used NetBeans to draw a Swing screen and it generated the code for me. But i am new to GridBag. And NetBeans is some what difficult to draw complex UI.

Use whichever layout suits the need. And nothing prevents you from nesting JPanels each with its own layout, in a single GUI.

Have you gone through this tutorial?

The GroupLayout description is good in the tutorial. i will try learn it and code instead of using netbeans. Thanks!
