Hi fellow coderancher!

ok here is my problem, i got two pages. student1.jsp and adder.jsp. student1.jsp calls adder.jsp to add numbers THEN adder.jsp will add stuff, then redirect back to student1.jsp.
redirection to student1.jsp is hard coded.

WHAT IF, another student would use adder.jsp, say student2.jsp. it can call adder.jsp and pass values to it. but because of the hard coded redirection on the adder.jsp, it will return back to student1.jsp

what would be the best strategy for this redirection fellows? I already thought of a flag, that the caller passes to say who called it. BUT, after reading some design patterns book, I think setting flags will just make the page THICK, hard to maintain and might have problems in the future.

any suggestions please?

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
