hey guys!
i have been doing programming in core JAVA for quite some time now & will go for SCJP shortly. i don't want to move to advanced just now on & want to gain a little more expertise of this level.i have studied HFJ. which book should i study next to enhance the skills of my programming designs & thinking?

Question you should be asking yourself at this stage is "What would I love to program? Web applications? Distributed systems? Front end? Database? Mobile?"
Once you have that identified, you can move on to identifying the learning material.

I think, you are talking about HFDP - head first design pattern . there is no harm to read about design pattens, since you have good experience in programing you can go for it

program- problem solving, problem comes in different flavor . you cant apply same logic to all problems. you need different patterns to different problems. however what ever you are facing problem now, somebody could already faced, and solved successfully by applied a pattern . so it is wise to read their patterns first before inventing your own pattern
