For good or bad, we use mysql workbench to manage our database design.
This design is pushed to a temporary mysql database that we then point netbeans at to generate the persistence code for our objects.

I just discovered that default values are not being picked up by netbeans when it creates classes that have them.

Anyone else seen this, or am I missing something?

For now, I have hand-massaged the generated code (ask me if that is an accident waiting to happen!) I had a feeling we were going to outgrow this system, but I was hoping to put it off a while (I like the graphic design space!)
