How to get Client's Mac Address?

I'm working in a web application.
I have to restrict the user login for this I need to get the Mac Address of the client machine for checking the login.
is there any idea?

The MAC address is not available via web apps, nor though applets unless they use native code (meaning they'd need to be signed).
