I would like to know if it is possible to read and write url parameters using Struts - such as in an action class.

Andy,
You read parameters through the ActionForm if they are defined there. If you can't change the form (or have reason not to), you can just do request.getParameter("name")

There isn't a way to set parameters from Java that I know of.
