Hello,

I am new in GWT development and have a problem that i am not able to solve (after 1 Week of analyse)

I start my first application with eclipse (Run As -> Web Application) and get the following error:

If I Compile the project and deploy the war to my fresh installed tomcat instance everything works fine. I think there is anything with my CLASSPATH or any other Problem with the Jetty Server (Eclipse use this to start the GWT Projekt).

I hope anybody can help me.

Thanks a lot

Rainer

Welcome to the Ranch.

javax.net.ssl.SSLContext is a restricted class. Please see the Google App Engine developer's guide for more details.

This would indicate you have created a GWT+GAE project. Is that what you really want? If you want only a GWT project, you need to uncheck the "Use Google Appengine" checkbox in the wizard.

If you want to use GAE, you need to be aware of the restricted classes. More on it here
