Received the mail today ..

'Congratulations! You have passed the Oracle Certified Master, Java EE 5 Enterprise Architect certification. You are among the elite 1% of certified Java professionals who have gone on to achieve the Java Enterprise Architect certification.

You have received a passing score. Passing grades do not receive a score, just the pass. A failing grade will receive section level scoring so that a candidate may isolate the area of failure and resubmit their assignment. Numeric scores are only provided on failures...'

Gist of my view of the exam:
Design does not need to be excellent, but call out why you designed so. The exam is more a thought process than a final output.

Thanks Java Ranch!

Hi,

I have submitted my essay on 11th of September and sit the exam on 15th of September. Yesterday I received the email that I have passed. First, I was a little bit suspicious because my status on pearsonvue.com/oracle is still "taken" and there is no sign that the exam is graded, but I can see the exam on CertView site. It would mean that the grading process took them only 11 days. What do you think?

Best Regards
Maciej

Wow! Congratulations Tamal and Maciej !
Does that mean the grading process is a lucky draw? There does not seem to be any sequence or order in which people are getting graded !
For some its taking upto 15 weeks and for some not even 15 days !

Just curious, where did you take your essay exams?
Maybe the location of exam matters ! I dunno , I am just guessing !

I took my essay exam on Sept 17th and waiting. The certview status just says 'Taken'
