I am experiencing a very bad situation. I just finished my assignment project and tried to send it through Pearson VUE site, but when I clicked on the button to continue with the assignment and upload my solution jar a new window appeared and some second after an error message was displayed, I did not pay much attention since I though that it was not a big deal but when I closed that window my assignment when automatically to Taken status.
Now, I can not upload my solution and when I click on the link to request my score a PDF file is downloaded with a C# error trace as content.
I am in a hurry since the deadline to dont pay for the training course ends this week. I already sent an email to Pearson and I am thinking to call them tomorrow morning.
Is this issue familiar to any of you? Any recommendation here? Any help is welcomed.
And I'll tell you man the time I spent on the phone and the number of consultants and technicians I spoke to is priceless . The last conversation I had lasted more than 45 minutes, but the lady finally grasped what I was talking about (most of the consultants don't seem to know how those non-proctored master assignments work). In the end I was given a voucher for 844 and uploaded my solution. The problem occurred on Tuesday last week, I got the voucher and uploaded the file on Friday.
I'd hurry if I was you, I suppose that if you don;t want to take the mandatory course, you'll have to take the essay part of the exam before the end of the month. .
Can you tell us where did you manage to find the phone numbers to call in order to solve your problem? I mean, I'm sure you were forwarded from one operator to another to another to another until you reached someone who could solve your problem.
My first try was to call to 866-294-1616 but the call ended after some minutes :S. I already send a couple of mails, one through Pearson site and another directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. If no response in some hours, I will call again.
Tom, do you have the phone number in which your issue was solved? It will help to go directly with the right people.
i also had this problem and it took me fast 2 weeks to have a solution (a VOUNCHER for the 1Z0-844 exam). It is 2 weeks that i want to forget because it took fast 1H per day to explain to Pearson Vue what happened. In an never reach it. Finally i sent an email to developer-submit_US@oracle.com telling them how much i was frustrated and wanted to cancel all my other scheduled exam if my problem is not resolved. And the next day i received my Vouncher .
That was a very bad experience with Pearson Vue customer service.

I have some more time so I'll write everything that happened to me
First I wrote to email@example.com email as the error message suggested, they forwarded me to pearson vue technical support. I wrote to firstname.lastname@example.org and was forwarded to my local pearson vue support center. As there's no pearson center in my country I decided to write to the uk site, I received an auto response that this email box is not actively checked so I started calling... I called the UK Pearson VUE number +44 161 855 7459. I called them once and on my first call. After somewhere around 30 minutes of explaining what happened, a technician initiated a conference call with some other guy that confirmed that "candidates are having problems uploading their assignments" - he said he would create an issue and someone should write an email to me describing the steps I should take to upload the assignment and said that this mail should reach me within 48 hours. Unfortunately nothing happened for the next 48 hours so I started calling again... This time I spent over 2 hours on the phone overall, the call was disconnected two times, I had the pleasure of talking to at least 5 different people, with some of them more than once (front consultant Chris which I would like to greet from here ). One of the technicians was a hindu woman that completely didn't understand what the hell I wanted from her, she decided to transfer me to someone else and after several minutes of waiting for someone to pick up, the call was disconnected. I was really frustrated then. On my third attempt this day my call was directly forwarded to a female consultant in US and she finally seemed to care about my problem, she showed some interest and after around 45 minutes of explaining the problem and confirming my identity she gave my the voucher number over the phone for 1Z0-844.
With that voucher I was able to upload the file and am currently already after the essay part.
I had exactly the same problem with the call center, two times they did not have idea of what I was talking about and other two times the call was disconnected. Happily, it seem that my problem is being solved, just some minutes ago I received an answer from developer-submit_US@oracle.com saying that they are aware of this problem and Pearson is working to fix the problem in next 1 or 2 working days. Also, due this they will give me a grace period to upload my assignment
I contacted also the Oracle Certifications account on Facebook, and they said something similar, if I have reported the issue to Pearson then there should not be any problem since I have a proof that I tried to upload my solution jar file before deadline
and what is required to make a proof that you've finished the assignment prior to the 1st of October deadline?
Hey Calin, in my case I have an issue ticket number directly from Pearson support, they told me that they are aware of this problem and are working on fixing it. Also, sent my solution jar directly to developer-submit_US@oracle.com as proof that, indeed, I have finished with it.
