Or actually, if the "which ant" result is a soft link to another location (which it will be if it is at /usr/bin/ant), track down the soft links until you get the actual location, and then post that.
Okay I tried that but all I got when I put "ls -al /usr/bin/ant" was
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 9737 Jun 27 2008 /usr/bin/ant
