I have a query about Android app deployment. I published my first app in Android market yesterday, and when I googled for it today; I found that the app is also appbrain.com, androidzoom.com and androidpit.com, and I am wondering how did they get it.

Since it is a free app - I don't mind really, but I think I have no way of knowing how many users install it or use it from those sites. I am wondering what makes this app available to these sites almost immediately though I had only published it in the Android Market. Did I miss some part of Google's long 'Terms & Conditions'?

Any pointers, answers in this regard would be highly appreciated!

TIA,
- Manish

Those sites just point to the app in the Android Market, they do not host it or make it available for download themselves. That would indeed amount to copyright infringement.

Thanks for explaining. These sites however make it look as if they host this app!
NP - some more domains to spread the app - won't hurt! :-)
