Hi, i'm fairly new to Java so I thought i'd post in this forum section.

I'm trying to sign a jar file so that I can add it to a html webpage without problems. However, after reading various online guides, I am unable to solve a problem I get when using Jarsigner. Here is a snapshot from my CMD screen after using jarsigner (I have already generated a keystore file):

I have the .keystore file in my home directory and have the Jar file in my JDK bin folder

Any ideas?

You shouldn't put any of your own files inside the JDK folder. With Windows Vista and Windows 7 you often don't have the rights to write in that folder, especially not from command line tools which don't work well with UAC.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
