how to generate java source code from java class

i need to first generate the java source code from the java class . then need to update some lines of code in that . i tried some CAVAJ tool but it doesn't seem to generate the exact source code. it gets appended with return and tag statements . IS there any way to regenerate the exact code from java class ..!!

No decompiler will generate the exact original source code, and quite a few will generate code that doesn't compile without some hand-editing. That's the nature of decompiling. I've had some success with both JODE and JD-GUI.
