Hi, i'm interested in developing a web app which can use web services and database access. I would like to see the technologies available at each section of the technology stack, for excample spring/struts, glassfish/apache, gwt/jsf. The purpose of this is looking at the options and not always doing the same since giving my experience i always tend to use the technologies i know about.

Can you point me at some link?

Thanks in advance,
Fernando

I'm not sure what the question is. Are you asking for some project reference which uses those technologies?

How can we eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

I am not even finishing my first bite. I am still digesting it.

Google for below words and go to respective websites and download. You will see example and doc. Go luck.

Struts 2
Spring
Hibernate
JAX-WS, Rest etc..

I know that at design time you first determine the purpose of the application, scope, budget and the know-how before you choose the implementation technology of any web app. You also know that at every level of the stack of technologies needed for every web app there are many options, for the UI, for handling the communication with the web server. So what i ask if there is some article that describe the possible options at each level of the stack?
Thans in advance,
Fernando

Paul is correct with the "one bite at the time" However if you choose a given technology it may condition the selection of others in the layers below, or at least they can be more difficult to integrate.

If you do really care what the world want to tell you, then accept this as a friendly advice:

Eat the 1st bite and it will be Spring and you will see the beauty and taste of Sping. It will expand your world. PERIOD.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
