Parser confign excn - When running JUNIT in Spring application

Hi All,
Iam facing an exception when iam trying to run a junit for service that i have developed in a spring application.
Below is my junit.

public class XXXServiceTest extends AbstractDependencyInjectionSpringContextTests   {
	
	protected String[] getConfigLocations() {

and you already tried this? without giving us more info on the environment that you are working on, its kind of difficult to says whats wrong!

I have added xerces-2.2.1.jar under web-inf/lib and my application is still running in 1.5 only.

Please let me know in case i need to provide any additional info.

Your junit would not run on the server, so placing xerces-2.2.1.jar under web-inf/lib won't help you there (unless you adding it to the classpath for the Junit).
How and where are you running you junit test? using maven? using eclipse?

Finally i got my issue resolved.

I just added (by going through some threads)

-Djavax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory=com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.DocumentBuilderFactoryImpl
-Djavax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory=com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl

in VM arguments.It worked.

But am still not sure what exactly iam doing and how the issue is fixed with the above step.

You probably have conflicting jars on your class-path. By specifying which implementation of the DocumentBuilderFactory to use at the command line, it probably solved the issue for you. The XML API stack is sometime a bit of a mess!

Hard to say what was the exact cause for you issue without actually reproducing it and debugging in detail...
