If an array is a java.lang.Object, where can i find the "array class" that extends Object? The Array Class not the java.util.Arrays utility class.

array is actually a data structure and java.util.Arrays is a class which has static methods which act on the array data structure.

In the API documentation? You can't. There is no single array class. There are infinite array classes, one for every other type.

However, the JLS provides some information about them: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/jls/second_edition/html/arrays.doc.html#64347
