I am looking for a project to work on that will aid me in building my resume. I do not require pay as I currently am working full time anyway. I want this opportunity for the sole purpose of building my technical skills. This position must allow me to work remotely and have a strong Java developer on staff to aid me in my technical skill growth. I am interested in Java Enterprise or Android development mostly but will consider any offer really. Please send offers to me here via message, include any contact information and I will forward my resume to you at that time.

Thank You,

John

Thank you for the advice, I have sent the person in the thread an email previous to my posting this thread. It does not appear that they are responding to people anymore.

It is unfortunate how quickly some jobs seem to fill up. Have you read the top thread on this forum?

I have read it and agree with it 100%. I did not want to try to post something like that because honestly I do not have much by way or employment based experience. I was recently hired as a Java developer but once the company saw my extensive business background I was slowly moved away from developing and in to business management. I am trying to get out but without a job to go to it is not possible as I have a family to support. This mixed with the lack of employment based development it is proving difficult to get in the door. This is why I posted that I will work for free, all I want is to build my technical skills so I can get a job actually developing software. Again I thank you all for the reply's keep them coming with any advice you have to offer me, at this point I am willing to do just about anything for a shot.
