Migrating from spring security 2.x to spring security 3.x

hi,
i am tryign to migrate from spring security 2.x t0 3.x. please suggest any guide for the same.
I am getting nullpointerException in org.springframework.security.web.FilterChainProxy. filterChainMap is coming null in FilterChainProxy.getFilters()
filterchain proxy has been defined as this

<bean id="filterChainProxy" class="org.springframework.security.web.FilterChainProxy">
<security:filter-chain-map path-type="ant">
<security:filter-chain pattern="/login.jsp" filters="none"/>
<security:filter-chain pattern="/css/**" filters="none"/>
<security:filter-chain pattern="/images/**" filters="none"/>
<security:filter-chain pattern="/*.jsp*/**" filters="httpSessionContextIntegrationFilter,logoutFilter,formAuthenticationProcessingFilter,exceptionTranslationFilter,filterSecurityInterceptor,userBeanFilter"/>
<security:filter-chain pattern="/**" filters="httpSessionContextIntegrationFilter,logoutFilter,formAuthenticationProcessingFilter,exceptionTranslationFilter,filterSecurityInterceptor,userBeanFilter"/>
</security:filter-chain-map>
</bean>

Please help me .

If you are using the latest Spring Security, why aren't you setting it up simply with

<security:http> tag. Instead of defining a bean for each and every Spring Security class.

From the looks of what you posted, it looks like the old days when you had 300 lines of xml to setup Security. Instead of that one tag.

Thanks for the reply. but I did not follow you completely.
How will adding this tag <security:http> in security xml solve the issue of filter chain and login.
Could you please elaborate. Thanks for your time .
