Hi Guys,

Can some one tell me which is the best protocol for trading applications of different platforms like mobile, ipads, internet ?

I had gone through different protocols like FIX, TCP ,UDP ,FAST,High Speed Vendor Feed (HSVF) but still I am not sure which one is best.

Your help/ successions are really valuable to me.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Deepak

Well you've got quite a mix there. TCP and UDP are very low level packet-based protocols, while the other three are much higher up the food chain (and may indeed run over either of the first two; I don't know). From what I can see FAST is an extension of FIX, and I've never heard of HSVF.

I suspect your choice will depend very much on what it is you want to do, and who/what you need to talk to, so without quite a bit more information it's very difficult to suggest which one is "best".

Thank you Winston,

Basically I am in process of finalizing a protocol for Trading application which would run on different platforms like ipad, mobile and internet.
The protocol should work effectively on all these platforms.

Deepak
