Hi,

I want to download the latest TZUpdater tool provided by Oracle. I see that the latest version available on the Oracle website is 1.3.42, however it seems like the latest version is 1.3.45, however I can't find the download link to this version. I can see the following message on the website:

"TZUT v1.3.45 now available containing the Olson 2011n update. Please contact your local Oracle Support Office to obtain this version. For questions, please contact Oracle Support."

I am not sure how to contact Oracle because I find any proper Email Id to communicate with Oracle. Can anyone please suggest how I would be able to download the latest version of TZUpdater 1.3.45?

Appreciate your timely help.

Thanks, Arthur

Arthur, welcome to the Ranch!

Will you please BeForthrightWhenCrossPostingToOtherSites next time? I found this when looking for your answer. We don't mind that you cross post, as long as you inform all the boards you cross post on.

"Oracle Support" is a link that goes to this page. There is no email address there, but there are a few phone numbers. This page has even more numbers, but it does suggest that you must have paid to get support. If you haven't you will probably have to wait until version 1.3.45 is made publicly available. Unless your code needs support for Ukraine, Moldavia, Brazil, Cuba or Fiji there isn't any reason why you can't wait.

Hi Rob,

First of all, sorry for not informing the forum regarding my cross-posting. I wasn't aware regarding the rules around 'cross-posting', in fact, this is the first time I am even hearing about the term 'cross-posting'. I'll keep this in mind for my future posts!
Thanks for the response.
I don't have a support contract so unfortunately I cannot contact Oracle Support via email or phone. So, does the current status on Oracle site mean that the only downloadable version available is 1.3.42 and that the latest version 1.3.45 is available for only those customers who have paid contracts?
Is that is the case then I think I might have to go with 1.3.42 since the application for which I am looking for a time zone patch requires updates to the Samoa and Fiji time zones.

Thanks again,
Arthur

I also find it odd that Oracle have publicly announced a new version, then make it only available for certain users. I don't think this is the kind of thing Sun would have done... But the only things you can do are a) pay, or b) wait. It sucks, but I don't see any alternatives...

Yep...doesn't seem like there are any feasible alternatives...I'll let the management know about the situation and let them decide the best way forward.
Thanks!
