Time Need to learn android

Hello everyone i have completed course on Java and i have good basic foundation on this, can anyone please suggest me how much time need to learn Android?

42 of unit X, where one X is 1/42 of the time you need to "learn Android."

I was being a smartaleck. The point is, it's almost impossible for anybody to provide a meaningful answer to your question, for several reasons.

1) We have no idea how familiar you are with Java or with programming in general. Saying you have "completed a course on Java and have good basic information" means nothing. You might still be a complete beginner, or you might really have a solid grasp of a lot of the relevant concepts.

2) We have no idea what you mean by "learn Android." I have been working with Java almost exclusively for about 13 years now, and I'm still not done learning it. But maybe by "learn Android" you mean that you've been through the book and passed a test.

3) We have no idea how quickly or effectively you learn.

As has been said, no one can tell you how long it will take for you 'to learn' a topic as there is way too much room for interpretation.

I will suggest you consider this book: HelloAndroid

I have read it and it seems to be a decent tutorial on building an application for Android. I have not found time to actually 'employ' it yet, i.e. I have not actually gone through the various steps to be able to affirm it as 'great' but it does align with the simple hello world app I had set up on an emulator prior to reading the book.

Really hard to answer, it depends on how much you are going to invest into learning Android.
You can start with reading Head First Android Development, you can't go wrong with Head First titles.

Personally I'm reading Programming Android which it is good by the way.
