A thread of doubt

Look a code :

class Jump implements Runnable {
 
int ctr=0;
 
public void run() {
                            ctr++;
                           System.out.println(ctr);
}

Two thread created as

 Thread t1 = new Thread(new Jump());
 Thread t2 = new Thread(new Jump());
 t1.setName("t1");
 t1.setName("t2");

My Doubt is :
Isn't that ctr variable shared by both the threads or Is that each thread has its own instance variable associated with it ?

Yes, because each thread has it's own instance!

Try making ctr static,both the threads will share the same instance.
