how to solve the ActiveX not defined problem while running/executing javascript



XMLHttpRequest cannot load file:////forJavaScript.txt. Cross origin requests are only supported for HTTP.

how to solve above highlighted error

Chrome and Firefox do not support ActiveX, only IE does.

If you are trying to use ActiveX in order to use Ajax, you'd be far better off using one of the popular libraries such as jQuery, Prototype or Dojo.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
