Do they send any practice exam or something? Once we register and if they do in how many days they take?

Dog d=(Dog) animal;// this is downcasting. since you are going down in the inheritance tree from general to more specific class which allows more flexibility in terms of invoking the methods, you need the explicit downcasting. But specifically,this line of code will create ClassCastException at runtime because the actual animal type is Animal not Dog.
Animal a1;
Dog d=new Dog();
a1=d; // this is upcasting. which is implicit. you don't need to typecast the implicit casting.which is this(a1 = (Animal) d; ).if you are going up in the inheritance tree you are restricting the # of methods you can invoke that is why you don't need upcast with an explicit cast.

// This is what I understood about the typecasting. Hope this is right and good explanation.
