Hi Ganesan,

I had a couple of questions:

1. How did you guys come up with the mock test questions in Java SE 7 OCA Training Lab were the OCAJ 7 Exam Topics on Oracle's website the only thing you and your team referred to? Also how did you folks determine the format of questions (descriptive/Multiple choice etc) that would be included in Java 7 OCA.

2. Is there a difference in the certificate issued (professional value of certification) if I take a beta examination rather than taking the final examination.

I have registered for the beta certification just because it is available at a reduced price and have my examination next week.

Thanks,
Anniruddh

Dear Anniruddh,

We developed this study guide to cover OCAJP 7 exam objectives in different learning styles.
The objective of this product is to improve your knowledge in certification objectives.
The new exam has eliminated ‘conceptual knowledge-based' questions and added "practitioner-level" questions.

Basic Sessions - Topic-wise theory sessions
Advanced Sessions - Topic-wise program/practical examples
Basic Sessions Exam - Practice exam to tests your knowledge studied in basic session
Advanced Sessions Exam - Practice exam to tests your knowledge studied in advanced session
Quiz Exam - Practice exam to tests your knowledge by skill level(beginner, intermediate, expert) or topic-wise
Mock Exam - Predefined mock exams and exams by skill level(beginner, intermediate, expert) or topic-wise
Final Exam - Predefined mock exam
Focus Lab - Pinpoint your weakness areas

Apart from the components mentioned above, the product also comes with goals and schedule tracker for your preparation.
Read more at http://www.epractizelabs.com/certification/sun/javase7oca.html .

We offer lifetime upgrade and any changes (number of questions, score, etc) from Oracle will be applied to this e-learning product.

There is no difference in the certificate credentials achieved from BETA version from full version by Oracle.

Good luck for your preparation !!!

Thank you Ganesan for your response.

I understand now that the training lab has been built with the objective of improving the overall conceptual understanding of the developer and bring him/her upto the pace with practical examples.

Mock exams happen to be just a way of self evaluation for the pupil.
