need help in visual jsf calendar component

I developing project in using netbeans woodstock components I setting setSelectedDat() January month and when i opening calendar chooser there is as default current(december) and only if i close and i will open for second time, then it's working fine.
anyone can help me to how to do that for first time calendar took selectedDate()s month

I am new in JSF technology. My last project was an administrative software. For calendar I use PrimeFace (This is inside NetBeans, you just need to activate) calendar component, pretty easy to use and works fine!

thanks for reply but i using visual jsf and as i know primeface is for jsf2.0 so how i can use primeface component when i have woodstock visual components
