I am just looking for some ideas as i am studying Computing - Java programming at the minute
and i just wanna practice my skills and improve them, although i do not know any programmes to make?
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
not too complex, as i only have learnt the basics, like classes, loops, assets, etc.
thanks a lot!
There is a lot of ideas, and here is mine: A backup program that backups data from local computer to a remote server.
its not exactly what i ment, sorry wasent too specific, i mean more pointless applications?
e.g. recently made alike a random number guess applications, an application i am working on at the moment is on that plays the game pontoon or as some know it as 21 bust?

Well, there's any number of games: Mastermind isn't a bad one to try; or Nim, which has a winning strategy. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you could try Craps, which has a "game within a game" if you allow for both pass/don't-pass and come/don't-come bets.
Why don't you try to make a simple dictionary with file readers or a program to read a URL and capture some data and analyze them...???
I would like to be able to do that but not at that complexity with my understanding of java!
only at A-level standard
but ive completed my Pontoon game which was ok
i haven't learnt about visual interface yet, and i dont think we will for a while, although i would like to, where would i go about finishing this out?
sorry for the very late reply! :L

Yeah thats what i meant
havent started GUIs yet unfortunately, i am just trying to get the basics nailed
