Trying to HelloWorld with Spring IoC

Im getting an exception When runing the line .04 in this method:

    public static void main( String[] args )
    {
       
    	ApplicationContext ctx = new AnnotationConfigApplicationContext(TestAppConfig.class);
    	WeirdTestBean bean = ctx.getBean(WeirdTestBean.class);

    	System.out.println(bean.getSomething());
    }

I have TestAppConfig declared this way

@Configuration
public class TestAppConfig {
	
	@Bean
	public WeirdTestBean getExtranioBean() {
		WeirdTestBean bean = new PestyBean();
		bean.setSomething("Hello Ugly World");
		return bean;
	}

The exception I have is this

I think it's something related to dependencies, but I didn't found a way to solve it. Any ideas?

Add this to you pom.xml
<dependency> <groupId>cglib</groupId> <artifactId>cglib</artifactId> <version>2.2.2</version> </dependency>

Do you know if it is because the use of annotation based app context? I was watching another spring 3 project, which doesn't use that dependency. But its app context is entirely in xml

I'm not a "Spring Samurai" but it looks like you have to include CGLib manually if you are going to use an annotation based application context.
