Hi All,

The only place I have seen faces-config.xml in design mode is on the net. Somebody please help me how to view it in design mode. Should we do any changes in preference or something?

BTW, I imported a WAR file and faces-config.xml came along with the file.

I also want to know how to create our own faces-config file in Design mode.

Design mode would imply an IDE. Is that what you are asking? If yes, which IDE?

Hi,

you can do it on Eclipse or NetBeans.
If I understood your question...

Actually, now that JSF2 has made it possible to define and wire together backing beans using annotations, a lot of people are avoiding faces-config.xml. Sometimes even more than they should.

Hi Maneesh and Marcos,

Yeah.. I am using Eclipse Helios IDE... While design mode is coming for the web.xml, it is not coming for faces-config.

Tim, Thanks for the valuable info. I never knew that. Meanwhile Let me learn the basics first and then join the bunch of professionals
