I have a java webapp using Hibernate backed by a MySQL database. I have a pojo that has a Double member variable which sometimes has a value of NaN (not a number). When I try to save the 'NaN' value to the database, I receive the following error message:
I googled my problem for a while and found that there is a MySQL connection string parameter called 'allowNanAndInf' which tells MySQL ConnectorJ to permit NaN in a double column. I added this parameter to my JDBC connection string, but the problem continued.
Does anyone have any other suggestions about how to save a 'NaN' value into a MySQL table using hibernate?
