Please, i using Netbeans with Struts2 and Mysql. i want to know if i will need to do connectingPool. because all the tutorial i'm reading is not writing about it. Please can somebody help me with a good tutorial with which i can get my login details from my database.thanks.

Better thing is to integrate with spring and configure the connection pooling in spring configuration file and inject connection object to struts2 action classes
