Hi All,

we have one abc.ear file inside which we have packaged axis2abc.war(customized). When we started the server, the application got started and worked fine but the axis2 is not getting started.

Been informed as WAS7 has axis2 and the ear file also has axis2 jar files that the application needs re compiling using WAS7 and deploying again

It might be a class conflict due to the same or a similar version of API (set of jar files) included in WebSphere itself. For instance axis may come bundled with WebSphere, but if you're using your own copy of axis as well, you might get weird errors. Try to change the Class Load Order for your app (ear file) in the WebSphere Admin console. This is explained in the following article as well: http://koenaerts.ca/unexpected-noclassdeffounderror-issues-in-websphere-ear-files/

Thanks Craig and Keon,

The configuration details are explained in the link (http://axis.apache.org/axis2/java/core/docs/app_server.html). As per the 'Application Server Specific Configuration Guide from Apache', WAS 7 supports axis version higher than 1.5.5 but unfortunately, we are using axis2-kernel-1.4.1.jar. Still trying to figure out how to fix it

Did you try to change the Class Load Order in WebSphere as mentioned above? This resolved my issue for an ear file that had axis2 1.4.1 included and was deployed to WAS 7.

Keon,

I changed the class loader but it didn't work for me.

Thanks

This issue is resolved after upgrading to Axis2 1.6.1.

Thanks.
