While these are memorable people in the tech field, just recently a great man passed away: Czech
Vaclav Havel, playwright, dissident, co-author of the Charter 77, prisoner, first freely elected president of Czechoslovakia after a peaceful revolution, and later -after overseeing the peaceful dissolution of the country- first president of the Czech Republic. All that, and he got Bill Clinton to play saxophone in a Prague night club while he was President. He will be missed, and not just in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
