A Jumpin JForum Day to y'all. That's right. It is now exactly
three years since we went live with the JForum software here at the Ranch. To celebrate, we have three shiny new features for you.
Search by likes - do any search and you can see the number of likes in the search view. That way you can see which hits members found useful. Be sure to like posts to help each other out! For example, if I search for "post navigation", I see a like early in the results list. If you've been particularly observant, you may have noticed this feature sneak in before JForum Day.More like this. For most threads created recently and for most new threads, there is a new feature at the bottom of the posts lists. It is "more like this" - similar threads to the one you are in. May help in finding an answer faster and very cool.Thread by thread "read" tracking - this one you have to turn on. Go to "my profile" and site personalization. Then check "Keep track of threads read on a thread by thread basis." Be sure to enter the captcha before saving. Once you do this the light bulb will show for threads you haven't read regardless of whether you went to a new computer or started a new session. You can also mark all threads in a forum or all threads overall as read by a link on the upper right (below the header) of each page. Don't worry. If you like the old way better, you can go into your profile and turn it off at any time.
