Hi Ranchers,

I am analyzing on a requirement to build a custom search & clustering engine that does a federated search over a number of ECM

Have identified the single point of contact to the CMS will be a CMIS - as CMIS specifies a standard set of services that will be supported and exposed by CMIS compliant CMS providers (e.g. Alfresco, Documentum, etc.)

On researching, I found that Lucene is the widely used search engine ( Our Ranch also use Lucene ). And Carrot2 is a widely used Clustering Engine. Carrot2 also gives a feature of doing a Lucene based search.

My question - Is there a way you guys know of / tried to integrate Lucene search with the CMIS implementation? Or Solr and CMIS?

Also please share if you have used any other Clustering, Search engines. And any CMS specific search engines too.

Thanks much!
It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
